Christa and Hentie were the perfect hosts and provided lots of information on restaurants and where to go in Knysna. Christa helped us change a tour booking and was ready to assist in anything we might need. The breakfast was delicious out on the veranda. Parking was provided.

  undeserved stars - I stayed in a 4 star (awarded by TGCSA) in Knysna. Due to the 4 stars, we from Germany booked a longer stay in the guest house “South Villa” because... read more we trusted that the guest house will present itself accordingly.
But on arrival we were horrified. The criteria for 4 stars were all theoretically met, but in practice it looked very different.
1. The steps in the house all have different heights (everywhere signs that you should pay attention to the steps),
2. parts hung down from the roof structure that could have fallen down on you at any moment,
3. there were ants in our room,
4. breakfast had to be pre-ordered: when, what, (it was like in a hospital),
5. The room was too small to feel comfortable.
Since there are so many points, we assume that there is no viewing from the TGCSA suburb.
The management was perfect but we heard that the German owner sees the guesthouse more as a gold mine. Make as much money as possible with little investment.

In our room overlooking the Knysna lagoon there... read more were fresh flowers, bathrobes, slippers, bed hopping, cakes and many more little touches. And the breakfast served lovingly on our balcony could not be topped. Plus the very warm care by Christa and Hentie with lots of helpful advice and recommendations for our stay in Knysna.
We would have liked to stay longer, but unfortunately did not have the opportunity.
But maybe we will come to Knysna again and then we will definitely choose the South Villa Guest House again.
